Picked on a spring afternoon, these pink grevillea grow in abundance near my home. I love the variety of pink and yellow tones that come with closer study. I am also drawn to the sharp fronds that add a discord to the soft and surreal ancient shapes of the flowers.

Flowers at my place always land on the kitchen bench. During the usual chaos of evening dinner, I was struck by the shadows cast by this magnificent surprise floral delivery.
